Loan Growth
The first chart here shows loan originations by month, starting with Lending Club's opening on Facebook in June of 2007. Note that the most recent month is shown in grey since it does not yet represent a complete month's worth of data. The second chart shows total loan originations to date. Lending Club first opened to the public (outside of Facebook) in mid-September of 2007, after which things have grown at a much quicker pace. Looking at the numbers for December of '07, you can see that Lending Club originated almost as many loans that month as it did in the previous 3 months combined!
